สมาคมสิทธิเสรีภาพของประชาชน (สสส.) ได้ดำเนินกิจกรรมในการพิทักษ์ และส่งเสริมสิทธิเสรีภาพของประชาชนตลอดมา เช่น การบริการอรรถคดีเผยแพร่ความรู้ด้านกฎหมาย รณรงค์ให้มีการยกเลิกกฎหมายที่ไม่เป็นธรรม สนับสนุนการรวมกลุ่มของประชาชนเพื่อพิทักษ์ปกป้องผลประโยชน์อันพึงมีพึงได้ ตลอดจนรณรงค์ให้มีการยกเลิกโทษประหารชีวิต
